In 2017, the University of Hertfordshire celebrates 25 years of being a university and 65 years of delivering first class higher education. It achieved university status in 1992 and is now focused on becoming internationally renowned as the UK's leading business-facing university. The university is proud of being a thriving and successful higher education provider. As a twenty-first century, business-facing university, it is committed to giving their students the skills they need to succeed in the global marketplace.
The university offers a rich range of courses and students can choose from undergraduate courses and postgraduate courses arranged under 10 schools of study. Industry professionals teach on their courses and visiting lecturers provide valuable input. This keeps the courses up to date with industry developments, making the content fresh and forward looking. It has invested hundreds of thousands of pounds in scholarships for high achieving and enterprising students from around the world.
Hertfordshire is located in Hatfield, just 20 minutes by train from London's King's Cross station and within easy access of the A1 (M). The university’s 2 sites, College Lane and de Havilland, are situated less than a kilometre apart. A network of pathways, cycle routes and handy shuttle buses connects the sites.
