Bachelor of Sport, Exercise and Health - Sport Leadership and Management

Help shape the future of sport with study in sport leadership and management, and develop skills that are needed across the sport and recreation industries.

Because the sport sector isn’t like a traditional business, neither are the leadership and management skills needed to succeed in this areas. In this major you’ll develop skills across leadership, management, marketing, facilities and events management, law and finance; all with a focus on how it applies to the sport, health and exercise sector.

You’ll explore how sport can contribute to social change, and the role digital multimedia can play to promote sport activities. Turn your passion for sport into a rewarding career and create positive change with the Bachelor of Sport, Exercise and Health.

You’ll explore the role sport, exercise and healthy living play in addressing global challenges, and will be able to create sustainable solutions to improve the wellbeing of people and communities. Our courses honour mātauranga Māori and Te Tiriti O Waitangi, and will help you develop a sound understanding of sport, movement and exercise science.

Must be capable of meeting the Children's Act 2014 requirements, including police clearance

Art History, Classical Studies, Drama, English, Geography, Health Education, History, Media Studies, Social Studies and either Physical Education or a subject from Biology, Chemistry, Earth and Space Science, Physics, Science or Calculus, Mathematics, Statistics

English Language Requirements:

Minimum IELTS (Academic) score of 6.0 overall with all bands 5.5 or higher; or equivalent; TOEFL iBT score of 80; Certificate in English for Academic Study (CertEAS) with B/B+ grade; AUT Academic English with B grade; CAE minimum overall score of 169; PTE minimum overall score of 50.
