Master of Professional Accountancy

CSUN Nazarian's Master of Professional Accountancy is an innovative graduate program carefully designed to prepare students with non-accounting undergraduate degree to succeed on the CPA exam and to effectively launch their career in accountancy. Whether you immerse yourself in the full-time one year program or choose to balance work and life with the part-time two-year program, you'll have access to the same engaging and practice oriented faculty, prepare for the CPA exam with CPA review materials at no cost to you, fulfill the 150 unit licensure requirement, build your network through our cohort program, and receive individualized career development and support from the EY Center for Careers. The program is offered in through a hyflex modality, allowing students maximum participation flexibility by joining live classes in-person or through video-conferencing technology.

Successful applicants must have:

A four-year baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution.

Good academic standing at the last college or university attended.

Earned one of the following: A minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 in all units attempted as an undergraduate, independent of when the degree was granted; or, A minimum grade point average of 3.0 in the last 60 semester/90 quarter units attempted from all postsecondary institutions attended, including all units from the entire semester or quarter in which the 60/90 units began; or,

An acceptable post-baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution with: A minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 in all units attempted as an undergraduate, or A minimum grade point average of 3.0 in the last 60 semester/90 quarter units attempted from all post-secondary institutions attended.

Successfully completed Introduction to Financial Accounting (with a “B” or higher) and Introduction to Managerial Accounting (with a “B” or higher) from a regionally accredited university or community college.

TOEFL - Test of English as a Foreign Language: Internet Based score: 79; Paper-based score: 550

iTEP Academic - International Test of English Proficiency: 4.0

DET – Duolingo English Test: 105
