Keele University International College (KUIC) offers accessible entry points to a range of degrees at Keele University via subject-specific foundation, international year one, and pre-master's programmes. Upon successful completion of the KUIC programme, students progress directly to their chosen degree at Keele University.
Progression degrees span a broad range of subjects, from business and computing to health, science and humanities. Many degree areas are consistently recognised in major UK rankings, and there are guaranteed placement opportunities on every undergraduate course.
Programmes at KUIC are designed to help students develop the transferable skills and knowledge needed to succeed at university. Students can choose from two main intake points each year: September and January. There is also a May intake for pre-master's business and computing students.
KUIC students have access to the University's modern facilities and resources from day one. The College is located on Keele University's vast 600-acre campus – one of the largest in the UK – just five miles from the city of Stoke-on-Trent and midway between major cities Birmingham and Manchester.

KUIC programmes are offered across four main subject areas:
Foundation programmes provide a bridge for students seeking to enrol on a UK undergraduate degree at Keele University but do not meet the direct entry requirements. The programmes are two/three semesters in duration (depending on the subject). On successful completion, students progress seamlessly to the first year of their related undergraduate degree at Keele University.
An international year one programme allows students to enrol on the first year of their Keele University degree in a supportive environment, specially designed for international students. On successful completion, students can progress directly into the second year of their related undergraduate degree at Keele University.
Pre-master's programmes are designed for students who do not meet the direct entry requirements for master's degrees at Keele University. Successful completion of a pre-master's programme allows students to progress to a master's degree at Keele University.

Entry requirements for KUIC programmes vary on a course-by-course basis, and prospective international students are encouraged to consult individual course pages for the most up-to-date information on entry requirements.
At KUIC, the language of instruction is English. As such, prospective international students are required to demonstrate a sufficient level of English language proficiency before undertaking any programme at the College. KUIC understands that studying abroad is a significant financial commitment and is committed to making its programmes fully accessible to students from all backgrounds. KUIC offers international students a range of scholarships and funding options to help them cover the cost of their studies. These include:
International Scholarship Awards – up to GBP 2,000
Sustainable Development Scholarship – GBP 5,000 (submission required)
Progression Scholarships – up to GBP 5,000
Early Bird Discount – GBP 500

KUIC students have access to Keele University's extensive range of modern facilities. In addition to industry-standard teaching rooms, workshops and laboratories, students have access to the University's students' union, sports centre, and library. The library is open 24/7 throughout the year and is home to an impressive collection of physical books and journals, in addition to a range of digital resources and study spaces.
Keele University's campus is one of the biggest in the UK. The campus has its own post office, GP surgery, pharmacy, grocery store, farmers' market, chapel, and Islamic centre. There is also a range of restaurants, cafes, and bars located on campus which cater to the University's diverse and vibrant international community. KUIC students have everything they need right on their doorstep at Keele, with many of the most useful facilities and services easily accessible within walking distance.
KUIC recognises that moving abroad to study at university is a big life change that may present challenges, and the University is committed to ensuring its international students are fully supported.
As a result, the College provides all students with access to a range of student support services as they transition to life in a new country. KUIC support services are specially designed to help international students settle into their new home, make friends, adjust to life in the UK and develop a transferable skillset.
The University's support services are free to access and include academic support services, accommodation support services, student wellbeing services, disability support services, and mental health support services. There is also a range of diverse student groups and peer support programmes available to help international students settle into their new environment.
Teaching at Keele University is of the highest quality, as demonstrated by the University's Gold status in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF 2023). Personalised support is also available throughout the student journey, and teaching is centred around facilitating progression to the University.
The curriculum at KUIC is designed in partnership with course leaders at Keele University – with modules, course content and teaching methods aligned. This collaborative development of the KUIC programmes means that students are well-prepared for progression to specialist degrees at Keele University.
In addition to their subject-specific modules, KUIC students also learn essential academic skills, such as referencing and research techniques, to provide them with a solid base for UK university-level study.
