UniLink Bridging Program

Swinburne's UniLink Bridging Program is a pathway program designed to equip international students with the knowledge, skills and capabilities required for entry into a UniLink diploma.

Complete the UniLink Bridging Program if you:

have completed a qualification equivalent to Australian Year 12, but did not meet the entry requirements for a UniLink diploma
would like to transfer from another Australian education provider to a UniLink diploma, but don't meet the entry requirements
don't have the prerequisite subjects for design, engineering or science courses

Successful completion of the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) or its equivalent, such as an interstate or international Year 12 qualification; and successful completion of Year 11 Mathematics or equivalent that includes topics in coordinate geometry, circular (trigonometric) functions, calculus, algebra, statistics and probability.

VCE prerequisites: Units 3 and 4 – a minimum study score of 20 in any English or English as an Additional Language (EAL).

English language requirements

Satisfactory completion of one of the following:

Swinburne's English for Academic Purposes (EAP 4 Upper Intermediate level) with overall 65%, all skills 60%

minimum IELTS overall band of 5.5 (Academic Module) with no individual band below 5.0

TOEFL iBT (internet-based) 50 (no less than 5 in reading, 5 in listening, 14 in speaking, 15 in writing)

C1 Advanced 162, no band less than 154

Pearson (PTE) minimum score of 42 (no communicative skills less than 36)

any other equivalent assessment of English language proficiency.
