Master of Arts in Accountancy

The Master of Arts in Accountancy is designed to prepare students for professional careers in accountancy. The program includes a common core of study in financial reporting and analysis, taxation, and data analytics. In addition, the degree offers two Emphasis Areas of study that provide graduate level exposure to competencies included in the examinations for Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Management Accountant (CMA). The Master of Arts in Accountancy is also offered as part of an Accelerated Bachelor's/Master's Program. Students who earn a BSBA with an Accountancy major from UCM, or from another school with an AACSB-accredited accounting program, qualify for direct admittance to our MA in Accountancy program.
