Why Sociology and Law (with foundation)
Why an Integrated Foundation Stage
An Integrated Foundation Stage starts your degree studies with a year spent learning the skills required to progress onto a full honours degree. Alongside an introduction to Sociology and Law, you will develop valuable study skills, communication, team work and problem-solving techniques which help to build your confidence and prepare you for the rest of your course.
Study Sociology and Law at UoG to explore justice on local, national, and global levels. Debate legal systems, norms, and ethics through sociological theories on gender, race, class, and intersectionality. Unpick colonialism, capitalism, and nationalism to understand the roots of law and justice.
Gain real-world skills with research projects, placements, and internships, and experience diverse learning styles, from lectures to small-group debates. Get insights from expert staff and inspirational guest speakers, including local professionals, businesses, and alumni.
Build your CV while exploring justice, human rights, and societal change. Example modules include Consumer Society, Crime Scene to Court, Family Law and Identity & Intersectionality.
