Currently ranked as one of the top 200 universities in the world by QS World University Rankings, the University of Newcastle, Australia is an extremely welcoming place for international students.
With campuses in Newcastle (Callaghan and City), the Central Coast, Sydney, and Singapore, more than 105 nationalities are represented in the student body. There are over 39,000 students at the university, with over 6,000 of those being international.
The university's three colleges and 20 schools offer students a choice of more than 180 undergraduate and postgraduate programs across a wide variety of subject areas. This includes education and arts, business and law, science, engineering, as well as health and medicine. The QS World University Rankings placed 15 of Newcastle's subjects within the top 200 in the world.
Ranked as the top university in Australia for industry collaboration (Innovations Connections IC Report 2004-2020), the university has also placed 12th in the world in the latest Times Higher Education Impact Rankings.
Throughout their studies, international students are supported by a dedicated team who aid with orientation, scholarships, English-language support and finding employment.
