Established in 1998, East Coast Language College is a private career college. It is the multi-year award winner for Best Language School in Halifax. With more university and college pathways than any other local English school and high success rates for graduates, ECLC is the perfect choice for studying in Canada. Students who go on to study at one of its Pathway Partners qualify for a Canadian work permit after they graduate from a Canadian college or university.
Each week, it hosts two to four social activities for students and provides many opportunities to practice English in a social context while having fun and making new friends from Canada and around the world. The school has a dedicated Social Activities Coordinator, who arranges after school and some weekend activities, such as discovering restaurants, soccer games, movie night, museum and art galleries visits, Canoeing and Kayaking. There are also longer trips organized to places such as Prince Edward Island, Cape Breton, and the South Shore of Nova Scotia.
East Coast Language College has a bright and welcoming campus in downtown Halifax where students love the warm atmosphere and enjoy relaxing and studying in its spacious student lounge.
