International College of Hotel Management

International College of Hotel Management (ICHM Pty Ltd) is an Institute of Higher Education that delivers courses in Business and Hospitality Management at both Bachelor and Masters level. Established in 1992 by the Lipman Family in collaboration with the South Australian Government and the Swiss Hotel Association (SHA), ICHM welcomed its first cohort of students in 1993 as a Vocational Education and Training (VET) provider offering Diploma and Advanced Diploma qualifications.
In 2008, the institution transitioned to a dual sector provider to support its move from VET to an Independent Higher Education Provider. By 2012, it had introduced a foundational Bachelor degree program endorsed by the Swiss Hotel Association. Accreditation for the Master of International Hotel Management (SHA) was obtained in 2018.
ICHM concluded its relationship with the SHA in 2021, following the association’s decision to discontinue affiliated school partnerships. The institution remains registered for the maximum term of accreditation with no conditions, emphasizing its commitment to delivering high‑quality student outcomes.
Ownership of ICHM has changed over time: Charles Darwin University acquired the college from the Lipman Family in 2017, and UP Education subsequently purchased it from CDU in December 2019.
Today, ICHM operates as an independent Institute of Higher Education, governed by a Board of Directors that meets as the Governing Board.
