Syracuse University is a private research university located in Syracuse, New York. The University was incorporated on March 24, 1870 and grew rapidly, establishing programs in architecture and fine arts that were among the nation’s earliest. By 1934, the University’s academic divisions had grown to comprise 13 schools and colleges which persist to the present day.

Students can choose from more than 200 majors, 100 minors, and 200 advanced degree programs across Syracuse’s 13 academic units.
