Faculty of Business, Law and Applied Social Studies
This Faculty strives to provide a vibrant, innovative and stimulating learning environment for the students. One of the many accolades won by the Lancashire Law School include the Legal Education Provider of the Year by the Solicitors Journal Awards 2017.
Faculty of Clinical and Biomedical Sciences
It brings together for the first time at UCLan, three key clinical training programmes under the stewardship of the Schools of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences. The University has also cemented its position in the healthcare industry with a 10-year agreement by forming a strategic alliance with East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust (ELHT), thereby delivering clinical placements, joint research programmes across Pennine Lancashire and shared academic and clinical staff posts, among others.
Faculty of Health and Wellbeing
The vision of the faculty is to be recognised by stakeholders for providing a collaborative approach to the development and delivery of contemporary, evidenced-based education which is responsive to local needs, national policy and international perspectives. Its industrial links continue to grow in strength, working with a number of businesses and organisations including LG, the Lowry, BBC, NHS and Burberry.
Faculty of Science and Technology
It strives to be internationally recognised for excellence in teaching and research providing an unrivalled student experience to equip confident and skilled graduates for lifelong achievement in the global market. It has launched the Engineering Innovation Centre (EIC), which is a collaboration of engineering teaching, research and innovation expertise at the University, set to help shape the future of engineering skills development within the North West.
Faculty of Culture and Creative Industries
At Faculty of Culture and the Creative Industries we have five schools that offer a vibrant range of subjects. These are the School of Art, Design & Fashion, including the Grenfell-Baines Institute of Architecture, the School of Journalism, Media & Performance, the School of Language & Global Studies, the Lancashire Law School, and the School of Humanities & Social Sciences.
Its students and staff work creatively and collaboratively across this exciting range of disciplines to open up new avenues to explore and new opportunities for learning. This was recognised in 2016 when the Faculty was awarded the coveted Times Higher Education award for Excellence and Innovation in the Arts.
