University of Delaware’s Science, Technology and Advanced Research campus is currently being expanded to include a ten-story tower with labs and classroom space. This will serve as an addition to the health and research facilities which have been built over the last few years.
Recently launched by the English Language Institute (ELI), the pathway program, Academic Transitions, is now in place to help high achieving international students to prepare for undergraduate study. During the program they will improve their academic English levels as well as earning up to 27 university credits.
Aside from excellent teaching and research, the University of Delaware is home to athletics of all sorts, including 21 NCAA Division I teams. UD’s teams are known as the Blue Hens. Just this year, the University has embarked on a renovation project to improve its sporting facilities, including the Delaware Stadium and the Whitney Athletic Center. With a project completion date of 2020, both will enhance athletic training on campus.
