Overview
Deakin College is an institution that provides direct pathway courses into Deakin University, allowing students to effectively adapt to the Australian education system before they move onto a degree at the University. The College is placed at three different locations in the state of Victoria, Australia, and even has a campus in Jakarta, Indonesia.
3,000 students study at Deakin College, hoping to proceed on to a degree at the internationally-recognised Deakin University, which has been given 5-stars for its world-class facilities, research, teaching, employability, innovation and inclusiveness by the QS World University Rankings.
The University was also number one in Victoria for student satisfaction for seven years in a row (2010-16) and holds nearly 10,000 international students from 121 different countries. 90% of the research undertaken at the University is rated at or above world standard by the ERA ratings.
Students at the College’s Australian campuses have access to all the facilities on offer at Deakin University. This includes computer labs that are open 24 hours a day, libraries at each campus, a student Medical Centre, and a variety of sport and special interest clubs that are run by the Deakin University Student Association.
Deakin College has a vast array of support services on offer for its students. These include academic workshops to help students with their classwork, disability support, counselling, and Orientation Mentors, who assist students with anything they may need in their first week at Deakin College.
