The Times Education Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings is an annual publication of university rankings by the Times Higher Education magazine. It is one of the three most popular rankings in the world along with QS World Ranking and Academic Ranking of World Universities. THE Rankings have evaluated 1,799 universities from 104 countries and territories this year.

The influencers under the THE ranking include teaching (30%), research (30%), citation (30%), industry income (2.5%), and international outlook (7.5%). Seven Irish universities have been ranked in the top 500 vs. last year in which five were ranked in the top 500. While Trinity College Dublin, and The University of Dublin have gone down to 161 from 146 in 2021, Dublin City University and Maynooth University have gone up to 401-500 from 501-600.
The next THE World University Ranking is expected to come out in September 2023
