One of the largest universities in the UK, Manchester Metropolitan University is a historic and internationally-recognised institution. With history dating back to 1824, it now houses a diverse campus with over 34,000 students from more than 130 different countries.
Manchester Metropolitan is known for its quality of teaching, receiving a silver rating in the Teaching Excellence Framework 2017, and its outstanding research, 85 per cent of which is rated as world-leading or internationally excellent (REF 2014-2021).
Its School of Architecture is amongst the best in the world, ranked 8th by the QS World University Rankings 2020, and its Business School is triple accredited, placing it among the very best business schools in the world.
The University has a GBP 400 million investment planned to develop facilities, buildings and public spaces.

The University also has industry links with global companies allowing students on specific courses to attend year-long placements with prestigious employers. 93 per cent of Manchester Metropolitan students go into employment or further study within six months of graduation thanks to this support (16/17 DHLE).
