North Seattle College
North Seattle College was established in 1970. The College is an open entry public institution offering workforce education and training, professional technical programs, bachelor’s degrees in career areas and transfer degree programs to nearly 14,000 students each year. It is committed to changing lives through education. The College is a progressive educational resource, actively engaged with its community, and known for innovation and responsiveness.
North Seattle College is the starting point for many students who transfer to top universities across the country. Strong academic preparation and advising services, small classes, an innovative integrated studies program, broad e-learning options and a variety of partnerships with four-year schools contribute to student success. It also offers three Bachelor of Applied Science degrees, in Application Development, Early Childhood Education and in International Business and all-in-the-evening Associate of Arts and Associate in Business degree programs. The College also provides outstanding career training in more than 60 certificate programs, including in emerging fields such as nanotechnology, sustainable and conventional energy and control technology.
North Seattle College is located in the Northgate area of Seattle and is conveniently located near the two major north south highways, Interstate 5 and Highway 99, just a short drive to downtown and the University of Washington. Largely residential, the campus neighbourhood is near a large shopping district and the city’s popular Green lake Park. The College is committed to fostering a welcoming and inclusive campus climate for all staff and students.
