University of Birmingham
University of Birmingham was founded in 1900. It represented a new model for higher education as this was England’s first civic university, where students from all religions and backgrounds were accepted on an equal basis. It is a truly global university producing world-leading research. The University also benefits from mutual partnerships with a wide range of international institutions and hosts a large international community of researchers and students.
It offers over 350 different undergraduate courses, 600 postgraduate taught courses, 140 research courses and over 450 PhD opportunities. Students are an active part of a leading academic community, studying and working alongside some of the finest academic minds in the world. To reward outstanding achievement and to help ensure that fears about finance do not constrain prospective international students from considering study at the University of Birmingham, it offers a number of prestigious international scholarships. The university is located in the heart of England with campuses in the Edgbaston and Selly Oak areas of the city of Birmingham.
