About University of Winnipeg

The University of Winnipeg is a dynamic campus and a downtown hub that connects people from diverse cultures and nurtures global citizens. It received its charter in 1967 but its roots date back more than 130 years. The University is a compact, diverse, multicultural academic community committed to access and excellence. It is a provincially and privately funded post-secondary institution with undergraduate and select graduate programs, as well as Collegiate and Continuing Education divisions. The university is noted for academic excellence, Indigenous scholarship, environmental commitment, small class sizes and campus diversity. Winnipeg is home to more than 500 international students from over 68 countries.

Winnipeg offers high-quality undergraduate and graduate programs including several that are unique in Western Canada, for example, a Bachelor of Arts in Human Rights, and a Master’s degree in Development Practice with a focus on Indigenous Development. The Richardson College for the Environment & Science Complex accommodates over 2,000 students, faculty, staff and visitors daily. The University is large enough to offer over 800 courses in more than 40 subject areas from Aboriginal Governance to Women's Studies, yet small enough to make sure students connect with the University's award-winning professors.

IDP has been extremely helpful and the whole process of application and procuring the visa was dealt with without any problems.

IDP helped me get all my visa requirements in place, they even helped me with my accommodation and it just became a much easier process.
