Surrey School District
Formed in 1906, the Surrey School District currently has the largest student enrolment in British Columbia and is one of the few growing districts in the province. It is the largest public school district in British Columbia, Canada and the ideal place for international students to achieve their academic goals while experiencing a true Canadian lifestyle. Surrey Schools provides an education to more than 2,800 international students from all over the globe. International students come from countries such as Taiwan, Vietnam, Italy, Brazil, Spain, UK, USA, India, Iran, Japan, Mexico, P.R. China, S. Korea, Hong Kong, Thailand and Germany. The School District prepares it’s learners to think creatively and critically, communicate skilfully, and demonstrate care for self and others.
At the Surrey School District, it prides itself on being able to offer unique educational opportunities that will cater to the needs of any student. Students can choose a regular academic program or one of the many specialized programs such as Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate or Fine Arts. It offer a wide range of support services for students such as Multi Cultural Workers, counsellors, academic advisors, and customized ESL programs, so the students can have all the help they need to succeed.
Located on Canada's spectacular west coast, the Surrey School District is located just 40 minutes southeast of the city of Vancouver and 2 hours north of Seattle, Washington, USA. It provides educational services to students residing in one of Canada's fastest growing cities, the city of Surrey, and the beautiful ocean side community of White Rock.
