Approximately 200 clubs operate through the Students? Council. There are more than 40 cultural clubs as well as academic, political, philanthropic or special interest. Western?s 46 varsity sports teams and clubs compete in national athletics each year. Additional intramural leagues, sports clubs and the best student recreation facility in the country offer a wide range of fitness options. Athletic financial awards of up to CAD 4,000 per year are available.
