Mount Allison University
Mount Allison traces its roots to 1839 and prides itself on providing a high quality academic experience to students. The university offers over 40 programs of study across 5 degree options, which includes Arts, Science, Commerce, Fine Arts and Music. Mount Allison is committed to educating the whole student by providing a wide range of sport, fitness and recreational opportunities that promote healthy, active lifestyles and the development of leadership, sportsmanship and teamwork. It has more than 150 student-run organizations, an independent student newspaper, and a campus and community radio station.
The university provides a host of academic resources that includes course selection, academic advising and career counselling. Its Athletic Centre is home to the Department of Athletics and Recreation and includes a swimming pool, gymnasium and weight room that are open to all students. Mount Allison also supports a variety of competitive club sport programs that provide competitive opportunities against colleges, universities and senior teams in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.
In addition to a collection of over 500,000 titles, the libraries of Mount Allison University provide access to an ever increasing number of books, journals, newspapers, musical recordings and other materials in digital format.
