Through the #YouAreWelcomeHere scholarship, Wright State University recognizes international students who demonstrate a vision for enhancing intercultural understanding. In Fall 2024, we will select two first-year students to receive a renewable scholarship of USD $10,000 per year for four years. To be considered for the #YouAreWelcomeHere scholarship, you must be a first-year international applicant applying from abroad. As an international applicant, you must have attended or have graduated from a secondary school outside of the U.S. and demonstrated interest and personal initiative in activities involving intercultural learning and exchange.
- Students must be enrolled full time
- The scholarship is divided evenly between the Fall and Spring Semesters
- Renewable contingent on maintaining a 2.5 GPA and earning a total of 24 credit hours during the Fall and Spring Semesters
- Funds are awarded as available, so apply for undergraduate admission early
- Can be used for undergraduate tuition only
First, you must apply and be accepted into Wright State University as a first-year international applicant.
Next, submit the one-page #YouAreWelcomeHere Scholarship application and essay. Please apply through mail if you have any questions.
