Eligibility
You must be:
- female
- 21 years of age or older
- enrolled on an eligible undergraduate language degree programme (a degree in French, German, Italian, Japanese or Spanish)
- in part-time or full-time employment or working in the home in a role that attracts financial support from the government (eg a full-time carer)
- experiencing financial hardship (normally defined as having an income of less than £25,000 per year - evidence is expected to be provided).
Supporting material may consist of:
- a letter from an employer, a redundancy letter
- a doctor's letter
- a photocopied P60
Value
£1,050 for the purpose of relieving financial hardship.
Applications will be considered on the basis of need, prioritising cases where a student would be forced to leave the programme without this financial assistance.
