Durham Inspired: Computer Science Scholarships

All eligible applications for the Durham Inspired Scholarship will be considered on the basis of their personal statement, reference and academic status
Other scholarship awards may also be taken into account when considering the allocation of the scholarship
The University may use additional datasets to identify applicants who come from neighbourhoods with low overall progression to higher education or high levels of socio-economic deprivation

The Durham Inspired: Computer Science scholarships are is offered due to the generous support of our donors and are specifically designed to support applicants from underrepresented backgrounds.

1 scholarship is available to applicants commencing their studies in October 2025.

Applicant must have:

• a household income below £42,875 (as determined by Student Finance)
• and meet at least one of the following criteria
• be the first generation in your immediate family to attend University
• be from a background currently underrepresented in Computer Science

Preference will be given to applicants from the North East of England - defined as having a postcode beginning with DH, DL, NE, SR or TS.
