Boots Scholarship

Boots Optician Limited (Boots) is proud to support new optometry students at GCU from the UK, through scholarships for students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

The Boots Optometry Scholarship includes an annual stipend of £1,500 throughout the four-year duration of their studies at GCU which is disbursed at the start of each academic year. Additional benefits include paid work placement opportunities and other opportunities to engage with the organisation.

We welcome applications from new GCU students from the UK studying on the following course:

MOptom (IP) Optometry with Independent Prescribing

Funding is for a full-time first-year student over the course of their four-year undergraduate degree,

The award is non-transferable to any other course if you change your course to the one specified at the time of application. Awards cannot be deferred to another academic session.

• By completing this application, you are authorising GCU to share details with the donor of the funds, Boots Opticians Limited.
• The recipient of the Boots Scholarship will be required to provide a short, annual report on the impact of the scholarship at the end of each academic year, as well as to provide any other promotional material such as images and quotes when required.
• Attendance at any scholarship-related events.
