Undergraduate India Scholarship

Our India Scholarship – Undergraduate is a £3,000 scholarship, awarded as a fee reduction for each year of study, and aims to enable and encourage Indian students with a strong academic record to start their studies at Lancaster in 2027.

Who is eligible?

You will automatically be considered for this scholarship if you:

• are a national of, or your permanent home address is in India
• are an international fee paying applicant

International students from other countries may be eligible for the International Undergraduate Excellence Scholarship or the Undergraduate International Regional Scholarship.

Further information

• The scholarship is available across all our full-time undergraduate degree courses offered fully on campus at Lancaster University Bailrigg campus. The scholarship will not be awarded for any period of study undertaken away from the University, including but not limited to study abroad programmes, placement years, industrial placements, or years in industry.
• You must meet or exceed the conditions of your offer to receive the scholarship. If you already have your academic results at the point you apply, you must meet the published entry requirements for your course
• You are not eligible to receive the Undergraduate India Scholarship for any repeated years of study.
• Awardees must be classed as 'overseas' or ‘international' fee-paying students for tuition fee purposes, for the duration of their studies. If you are awarded the scholarship and are subsequently reassessed as a ‘home' fee-payer, you will no longer be eligible for the scholarship.
• This scholarship cannot be deferred to a future year of entry. If you do choose to defer your offer, your application will be reassessed for any scholarships you might be eligible for in that year of entry.
