The International Undergraduate Excellence Scholarship is awarded to high achieving undergraduate students who make Lancaster their firm choice. It recognises both the fantastic results you have achieved to progress to undergraduate study and your commitment to joining our community by placing us as your firm choice.
Who is eligible?
You will be offered one of these scholarships if you:
- achieve A*AA or above at A level (or the equivalent in an alternative qualification)
- make Lancaster University your firm UCAS choice
- are an international fee paying applicant
Home fee-paying applicants may be eligible for our Home Undergraduate Excellence Scholarship
Instead of our A level requirement, applicants to our LLB Law (Graduate Entry) course will need to have an average grade to date at a 1st or 2:1 level in your undergraduate studies (to include equivalent classifications). If you have already completed your undergraduate studies, then you will need to have already achieved a 1st or 2:1 (or equivalent) in your degree.
Further information
- The scholarship is available for full-time undergraduate degree courses delivered on campus at Lancaster University's Bailrigg campus. The scholarship will not be awarded for any period of study undertaken away from the University, including but not limited to study abroad programmes, placement years, industrial placements, or years in industry.
- All grade conditions must be met or exceeded. Tariff point equivalences are not considered.
- Awardees must be classed as Overseas or International fee-paying students for tuition fee purposes, for the duration of their studies. If you are awarded the scholarship and are subsequently reassessed as a ‘Home' fee-payer, you will no longer be eligible for the scholarship.
