Arts and Cultures Postgraduate Taught Scholarships

The School of Arts and Cultures is pleased to offer Arts and Cultures Postgraduate Taught Scholarships for outstanding home applicants who apply to commence full-time studies on one of the following eligible Masters degree programmes:

• MA Music (Performance/Composition) (4190F)
• MA Music Education (4182F)
• MA Music Industries Management (4183F)
• MA Fine Art (4186F)
• MFA Fine Art* (5808F)

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the Arts and Cultures Postgraduate Taught Scholarships applicants must:

• be assessed as home for fee purposes
• hold an offer for an eligible Masters degree programme at the University's Newcastle city centre campus for the 2025/26 academic year
• already have or expect to receive the equivalent of an upper second-class UK honours degree or above

All applicants will be assessed for eligibility according to assessed fee status and evidence of academic ability.

The scholarship will be automatically applied to qualifying applicants and the award will be credited to the applicant's tuition fee account to reduce the overall cost of tuition fees. There is no additional application process required for the applicant.
