We are pleased to offer 30 Vice-Chancellor's Excellence Scholarship awards for outstanding applicants who apply for full-time undergraduate study at Newcastle University.
To be considered for scholarships applicants must:
- be assessed as international for fee purposes:
- hold an offer for an eligible undergraduate degree programme at the University's Newcastle city centre campus for the 2026/27 academic year
- already have or expect to receive a minimum of ABB at A level or equivalent
- must accept Newcastle University as firm choice with UCAS by 5th June 2026
Eligible candidates will be assessed according to evidence of academic ability, evidence of commitment to studies and quality of application.
You apply for this scholarship online separately to your course. Applications must be submitted through the University's Apply to Newcastle Portal under the 'scholarships applications' section.
You must already hold an offer to study at the University to apply. If you apply before midnight UK time on the first closing date we aim to let you know the outcome within 4 weeks after that closing date. If you apply after the first but before the second closing date then you will get your result 4 – 6 weeks after the second closing date.
