Selection criteria:
To determine if you are eligible for an award and how much your award will be, we will look at your household income and the priority groups you are in.
Our priority groups are:
Care leavers
Students who are estranged from their family
Students with caring responsibilities
Students who have refugee status
Transgender students, inclusive of non-binary genders
Student parents
Students with a disability
Final year students
Student from minority ethnic backgrounds
Students studying a high-cost or high-intensity course
You can apply for the Student Success Scholarship if you:
are a fully enrolled,
are studying a full-time or part-time undergraduate course,
are paying a tuition fee of £9,250 or the part-time equivalent – this can be self-funded or through a student loan,
have been means tested by a UK student funding body, such as Student Finance England,
have a household income of £62,347 or less, and
have consented to share your household income with the University as part of the means testing process.
Although you need to be means tested, you do not have to take out a maintenance loan to be eligible.
You are not eligible for this scholarship if:
you receive a teacher education scholarship/bursary,
you receive an NHS Training Grant or Social Work Bursary, or
it would negatively affect your eligibility for another scholarship/bursary.
If you receive benefits and/or any other financial support, it is your responsibility to check whether receiving an award will affect your entitlement(s)/payments.

The application form will ask you to select the priority groups you are in and to upload evidence for each of the groups you select.
