Selection criteria:
The main purpose of the Award is to support an undergraduate student enrolling in the first year of a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Advanced Science (Honours) at Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland who has been selected to participate in the Science Scholars programme and exhibits intellectual curiosity and a passion for science in a broad context.
To be eligible for Award consideration, a candidate must i) be enrolled full-time in the first year of a Bachelor of Science (BSc) or associated conjoint degree, or a Bachelor of Advanced Science (Honours) (BAdvSci(Hons)) or associated conjoint degree, and ii) have been selected to participate in the Science Scholars programme in the Faculty of Science at Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland. The Award is tenable by domestic or international students. The basis of selection will be academic achievement based on results in the National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA) or an equivalent qualification, and the candidate's application to the Science Scholars programme.
