John Orr Award

Criteria

Taught Masters and Masters by Research are eligible for this award. Applications will be considered from UK/Overseas applicants wishing to study full-time or part-time programmes.

The award is available to new applicants who have applied for admission to a postgraduate taught Masters or Masters by Research degree programme of study in Romance literature, language or dialect in the University commencing in September 2026.

Preference may be given to those working in language studies: we can typically supervise research in French, Spanish, Portuguese, Catalan, and Italian.

Applicants must have, or expect to obtain, the equivalent of a UK first class or 2:1 Honours degree at undergraduate level and/or masters level.
