Eligible recipients will be assessed by a selection committee, with scholarships awarded to the student most disadvantaged in their academic work as determined by the VTAC Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS).
The Ben Cowen Scholarship is offered to students from a non-English speaking background and refugee and/or migrant background, who are enrolling in the Bachelor of Arts students.
Benefits
Offers up to AUD $30,000 and provides a stipend for the duration of a Bachelor of Arts degree paid in two installments a year.
Recipients are required to:
accept online within 21 days and,
submit annual reports on academic life and benefits provided by the scholarship.
Eligibility
To be considered for this scholarship, you must:
have applied for a University of Melbourne Bachelor of Arts degree via VTAC Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS) for commencement in the year following completion of Year 12 or International Baccalaureate
be from a non-English speaking background and/or,
be from a refugee and/or migrant background.
