Reduction of tuition fee by 25% for one academic year. Students who have been awarded scholarships from UNM or receiving sponsorships from external sponsoring bodies will not be eligible for the reduction.

Dean's Excellence Scholarship (DES) is awarded to top achieving current students, at the point of progression for each academic year, i.e. from:

Foundation to Year 1
Year 1 to Year 2
Year 2 to Year 3
Year 3 to Year 4 (applicable for Masters of Engineering and Bachelor of Education only)

Eligibility

To be eligible for the Dean's Excellence Scholarship (DES), students must meet the following minimum academic tresholds:

Faculty of Science and Engineering (FOSE)

Foundation : Minimum average marks of 90%
Undergraduate : Minimum average marks of 85%

Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS)

Foundation : Minimum average marks of 80%
Undergraduate : Minimum average marks of 75%

To retain the scholarship
The scholarship is awarded for one academic year only, renewal of scholarship is contingent upon making the Dean's list upon progressing in each subsequent academic year.
