a. The Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of:
I. academic merit,
II. personal statements, and
III. the applicant's application for admission to an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree at the University of Sydney.
b. The Scholarship will be awarded on the nomination of a selection committee consisting of two academic nominees and two non-academic nominees made by the Associate Vice-President Sydney Future Students.
You must:
- an international student as defined in the Higher Education Support Act 2003. This excludes Australian citizens and Australian permanent residents
- hold Indian citizenship and be a current resident of India
- have applied for but not yet commenced an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree at the University of Sydney at the time of application for the award.
Note: You are not eligible if you are a permanent resident of Australia, or if you have previously held a University of Sydney India Scholarship.
Benefits
A total of 28 scholarships will be awarded annually, consisting of:
- 2 x 100% tuition fees for any undergraduate degree up to four years full-time study.
- 10 x $20,000 first-year scholarships for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- 16 x $10,000 first-year scholarships for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
