Global Excellence Scholarship

Students from all countries are eligible. You will need to:

have received an offer for an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate course for 2026 at The University of Western Australia
have achieved an equivalent:

• minimum ATAR 85.00 or
• minimum WAM 65.00
• If studying an approved International Academic Pathway (Articulation Program), students must have achieved a WAM equivalent of more than 75.00

Undergraduate eligibility

To be eligible to be considered for the scholarship, a candidate must be applying for an eligible undergraduate bachelor degree or Assured Pathway course. The following exclusions apply:

• Assured Pathway to Medicine
• Assured Pathway to Dental Medicine

Postgraduate eligibility

To be eligible to be considered for the scholarship, a candidate must be applying for an eligible postgraduate degree (by coursework). The following exclusions apply:

• Juris Doctor (20820)
• Doctor of Medicine (91850)
• Doctor of Dental Medicine (91860)
• Doctor of Optometry (91590)
• UWA Micro-credentials

Combined Bachelor's and Combined Bachelors & Master's (CBM) eligibility

All Combined Bachelor's and Combined Bachelor's and Master's degrees are considered eligible.

Whilst most of these degrees are over four years (based on 8 semesters of full time study), the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and Bachelor of Science are over five years (based on 10 semesters of full time study) and as such, eligible students will receive up to AUD $60,000 over five years (yearly eligible amounts based on WAM).
