Summary
Malaysian nationals, who are normally resident in Malaysia, commencing a full-time postgraduate taught Masters at the University of Aberdeen either in January or September 2026 are eligible to apply for the David Stewart Scholarship.
Description
Four scholarships valued at £4,000 each will be awarded. The scholarship is stackable on top of the Aberdeen Global Scholarship (£8,000 for International fee students).
Eligibility
To be considered for the scholarship you will need to have applied to the University of Aberdeen and been offered a place for entry in either January 2026 or September 2026. You must also be a self-funded student, and not in receipt of any financial assistance from the Malaysian Government.
The scholarship can only be held by a student of the University commencing study in January or September 2026 – it cannot be transferred to other institutions. Priority will be given to students who do not already have additional scholarship funding (Aberdeen Global Scholarship and student loans excluded) and to those who have firmly accepted either a conditional or unconditional offer for a place at the University at the time the selection committee meets.
Criteria
Candidates are required to hold the equivalent of a 2nd Class British Honours degree or better from a recognised Malaysian university.
