Department of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences at the University of Alberta
Nominee's concentration is in Computational Math or Scientific Computing
Nominees are eligible to hold the award in years two through five of the doctoral program for a maximum of two award years
Nominee is in an applied mathematics program
Selection is based on superior academic achievement (equivalent to a GPA of 3.5 or greater on the University of Alberta grading scale)
Selection is based on research accomplishments
Selection is based on successful completion of the entrance year
Major scholarship holders will be considered unless restricted by their granting agency
In the event that the committee determines that there are two equally qualified and strong nominees, the award will be split evenly between the two
