- Satisfactory academic standing
- Registered in a graduate degree in the Faculty of Science
- Preference given to students in the field of Earth Science, Biological Science and Physical Science (in order of preference)
- Preference given to students with demonstrated contributions to ATLAS, the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences Graduate Students' Society
- Selection based on academic achievement and demonstrated contributions to the graduate students' community
- Open to Canadian citizens
- Open to permanent residents
- Open to foreign nationals holding Canadian study permits
- Open to applicants in course-based study programs
- Open to applicants in thesis-based study programs
- Open to applicants in doctoral programs
