Nominee must be pursuing advanced study in a field related to international and intercultural understanding
Relevant topics could include international human rights, political economy, citizenship education, and education promoting intercultural understanding
Awarded based upon the relevance and quality of the research proposal

Awarded based upon letters of reference
No restriction on the number of years that an eligible nominee may be nominated to hold the scholarship
