Arts Scholarships

Successful applicants will: Receive £1,000 to support their artistic development, Engage in a compulsory artistic skills development programme, be given opportunities to showcase their talents, be matched with a relevant mentor from the artistic community (where possible).The Arts Scholarship is open to any student registered at the University of Bath in the academic year on any undergraduate course from year 2 onwards, or on any postgraduate programme. This can include placement (full or part-year), remote study, part-time or international students.

Students may apply for the scholarship unlimited times but can only be awarded a place on the programme once – previous Arts Scholars are not eligible to reapply.

You are invited to apply to progress and develop any art form which may include (but is not limited to) the following:

• Performing Arts (including acting, music, dancing, singing, spoken word, musical theatre, circus etc.)
• Technical / Backstage skills
• Visual Arts (including photography, drawing, painting, sculpture, digital, video art etc.)
• Excellence in playing a musical instrument
• A new art form (for example: DJ, gaming design, interactive design)
