Chevening Scholarships provide full funding, including tuition, living expenses, and travel, for a one-year master's degree in the UK, allowing Scholars to focus fully on their studies while they prepare to make meaningful contributions in their home countries. This commitment aligns with the University's dedication to fostering a diverse, global community and supporting scholars in their journey to drive positive change.
To apply for a Chevening Scholarship, you must:
- Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country or territory.
- Commit to returning to your country for at least two years after your award.
- Have at least two years of work experience (equivalent to 2,800 hours).
- Hold an undergraduate degree that qualifies you for a UK master's program.
- Apply to three eligible UK university courses and have an unconditional offer from at least one by the deadline in the summer, specified by Chevening (see Chevening website).
Ineligibility: Applicants holding British or dual citizenship (except for British Overseas Territories or BN(O) status from Hong Kong) and those who have previously studied in the UK on a government-funded scholarship are not eligible to apply.

- Application Opening: Chevening applications generally open each year in early August.
- Application Deadline: Applications typically close in early November each year.
