Postgraduate Chancellor's Scholarship for China

Selection for the award will be based on academic excellence and the details provided in the scholarship application form.

In order to be eligible, candidates must:

• Have?received and accepted an offer for a full-time postgraduate taught master's programme starting September 2026. The student must be entering onto a degree programme based at Birmingham's UK campus.
• Expect to meet the academic conditions of their offer.
• Be classed as Chinese nationals or domiciled in China.
• Bachelor's degree must be from a university in the China ‘985' project or ‘211' project with the following minimum average scores.
  
• Applicants from ‘211' universities: minimum 80%
• Applicants from ‘985' universities: minimum 75%
• Be classed by the University as an overseas fee payer for tuition fee purposes and have sufficient funds to cover the remaining tuition fee.
• Have sufficient funds to cover the full cost of living at the University of Birmingham, plus any visa/travel expenses associated with studying in the UK.
• Start their studies at the University in September 2026 (the scholarship award may not be deferred).
