The Department of Modern Languages is pleased to offer up to two Home fees-only bursaries for students beginning a taught Masters programmes in the 2025-26 academic year, available from the Paul and Henry Woltmann Bequest.
These bursaries are available for full-time on campus study MRes and taught MA programmes in the Department of Modern Languages.
Applications from BME candidates are particularly welcome.

The bursaries are available to students who commence their study at the start of the 2025 academic year. These awards are not available to current Masters students.
In order to apply, you must have completed an application to study. You will then need to complete our online funding application form. Your application must also be supported by two references and you must get your referrees to supply references via the funding reference form.
By applying, you will be automatically considered for relevant College of Arts and Law scholarships. Only complete applications submitted before the deadline will be considered.
