Dr Russell Smith Memorial Scholarship

In making the recommendation, the selection committee gives equal consideration to: a. academic achievement b. community involvement and c. the obstacles faced in pursuing study, including financial need.

If, in any year, there is no candidate of sufficient merit, no scholarship is offered.

This scholarship supports students at Te Whare Wananga o Waitaha University of Canterbury who have a vision impairment.

Tenure: One year

Special Requirements: By the closing date for applications, an applicant must have registered with the University's Te Ratonga Whaikaha Equity & Disability Service as a student with a vison impairment.
