If you're an international student studying one of our Chinese-English Translation and Interpreting programmes, you could be eligible for £3,000 through our Chinese-English Scholarship. There are five scholarships available.
Eligibility
Applicants must have received a conditional firm or unconditional firm offer to study full time on one of our Chinese-English Translation and Interpreting courses at the University of Essex starting in the academic year 2025-26. Courses include, but are not exclusive to
- MA Chinese-English Translation and Professional Practice
- MA Conference Interpreting and Translation (Chinese-English)
- MA Advanced Interpreting with Specialised Translation (Chinese-English)
- PG Diploma in Chinese-English Translation
These scholarships are restricted to students who are overseas fee payers and are entirely self-funded*.
Only one scholarship award can be made per student and the award cannot be held in conjunction with any other University of Essex scholarships.
Successful applicants should be available for promotional activities.
