The Invitation to Idaho is the only award U of I automatically offers to new international students. Once you're a student here, you may qualify for other scholarships from your department. If you get scholarships from outside organizations, you can also use those to pay for your education at the university.
Please note that the Invitation to Idaho scholarship does not apply to online only semesters or summer session courses and cannot be combined with the #YAWH scholarship offered through the International Programs Office. The Invitation to Idaho can be renewed for 3 years by maintaining a minimum 2.5 U of I GPA.
Invitation to Idaho is a non-disbursable scholarship. While it is listed on the financial aid offer letter, the benefit is granted as non-resident reduced tuition, thereby charging qualified students substantially less. These scholarships will not be disbursed in addition to the discounted tuition.
