You must meet all of the following conditions:
For Overseas Applicants:
- Hold a valid passport demonstrating nationality of a country receiving ODA funding from the OECD. A full list of countries can be found on the OECD website
- Be classified by the University of Kent as an Overseas student for tuition fee purposes
- Be fully self-funded
For ALL Applicants:
- Have applied for the taught Kent LLM in Solicitors' Practice at the Canterbury Campus of the University of Kent for entry in September 2026
- Must have achieved a 2:1 or equivalent in your Law Degree at Bachelor's Level.
- Must have undertaken your Law Degree at an institution other than the University of Kent.
- Must provide a short personal statement (500 words) demonstrating what you have done during the course of your law degree to pursue a career as a solicitor.
- Have received an offer of a place on the taught LLM in Solicitors' Practice by the scholarship application deadline.
POINTS TO NOTE:
- You must meet the academic conditions of entry/be accepted for entry for the award to be given.
- This award cannot be held in conjunction with other awards and scholarships
- Where students are required to continue their studies beyond their original period of registration, the award will only be provided for that original period of registration.
Applications can be made before the deadline via your Kent Applicant Portal following receipt of an application for admission to the LLM in Solicitors' Practice course.
