Global Scholar Award

At UMKC, bachelor's and master's F-1 students are eligible to receive scholarships based on their academic performance. Each scholarship waives a certain portion of the difference between non-resident tuition and resident tuition. The exact dollar amount of your scholarship will depend on the tuition costs for that academic year and the number of credit hours you enroll in each semester. An estimated dollar amount for your first academic year will be listed in your official UMKC Letter of Admission and your I-20.

The scholarship you receive will be determined based on your academic performance at the time of admission. Scholarships are renewable each semester if students maintain good academic standing and proper enrollment.

These scholarships are not available for bachelor's and master's degrees in our professional schools, such as the MS Bioinformatics (School of Medicine) and BS Nursing (School of Nursing).

If a departmental scholarship waives non-resident tuition, students will receive the better of the two awards.
